Over the past 15 years, our president, James “Jay” Mark has continually added value to corporations of all sizes, non-profits, and the public sector. His experience taught him that profitability growth and increased efficiencies are by-products of understanding your environment and developing successful strategies that can weather the storms of change. Specifically, Jay has lead initiatives focused on leadership development, financial planning and cost management, brand management, process redesign focused on lean principles, business development, competitive intelligence, and much more. We can help provide you with solutions that will exceed your goals.

Jay was educated at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond where he learned the importance of effective leadership and its positive result to the bottom line. After a two year stint in Washington, D.C. working on a ~$1B case heard before the U.S. Federal Court of Claims, Jay was selected to the prestigious Coro Fellowship Program in Public Affairs located in Los Angeles, CA. This one-year national public policy fellowship enables participants to execute strategies in five different industries (business, media, non-profit, labor, government) to increase productivity, efficiency, and impact to the community. It was here that he learned his passion was in business and began working for a mid-size financial services firm, TBG Financial.

While working at TBG, Jay was admitted to the Fully-Employed MBA program at the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. Attending the Fully-Employed program, enabled him to put into practice the tools and theories learned in the workplace and provided perspective on the most effective ways to implement strategies. Jay was able to persuade senior leadership to adopt a new operational strategy using the balanced scorecard that ultimately increased productivity by 20%.

Since 2003, Jay has worked in the internal strategy and planning groups of two highly reputable Fortune 500 companies. Accomplishments have included developing a five year strategic plan that aligned infrastructure support with competitive benchmarks, reducing cost base spending by ~$350M, integrating two different cultures after a major acquisition, led the finance function of a $2B business and deal structuring of possible joint ventures, and redesigning the forecasting process for a major division that increased accuracy in profitability forecasting and NPV analyses.

All of these diverse experiences have helped Jay become comfortable in any situation, assess problems quickly, and provide a variety of solutions that are tailored for the client. He currently resides in Orlando, FL with his wife and three children.
